Brief:
The Royal Film Commission – Jordan (RFC) offers a Cash Rebate Incentive to attract international and local film productions. This program is designed to support the film industry in Jordan, stimulate local economic activity, and enhance workforce development.
Rebate starting from 25% up to 45%
- Up to 15% of post-production expenses for services performed in Jordan.
- 10% advanced payment capped at $100,000 against a stand-by Bank Guarantee.
- Cash back up to USD 5.25M per project.
- Available for: Feature Films, Series, Commercials, Documentaries, TV Shows. and Music Videos.

For Jordanian Films and Series (only) spending above $500K are eligible for 30%
Eligible Expenses
The following expenses qualify for the rebate:
- Salaries for Jordanian crew and cast.
- Travel tickets to and from the Kingdom, issued by a National Jordanian carrier.
- Equipment and facility rentals.
- Accommodation, catering, and transportation costs within Jordan.
- Studios rental and set builds.
- Up to 15% of post-production expenses for services performed in Jordan.
- Other direct expenditures that incur locally.
Productions Rebate Process
- Application Submission
- Applications must be submitted before filming begins by the local production services company.
- Approval & Agreement
- Production & Spending
- Audit Report Submission
- Payment of the Rebate
- Within 150 days of submitting the audited reports.
Additional Percentages
Productions must meet a minimum score threshold of 70 out of 120 points, distributed across the following categories:
- Cultural and Regional Representation (35 points)
- Employment and Capacity Building (30 points)
- Economic Contribution (15 points)
- International and Strategic Promotion (10 points)
- Environmental and Social Responsibility (10 points)
- Co-Production (20 points)
Percentage Increase:
| 70-79 points: +2% | 100-109 points: +8% |
| 80-89 points: +4% | 110-120 points: +10% |
| 90-99 points: +6% |
